Alaska can no longer be called the "Last Frontier" however there is still adventure to be found. Driving up the Dalton Highway from Fairbanks to Prudhoe takes us through the very heart of Brooks Range and along the western border of ANWR (Arctic National Wildlife Refuge). Wales, Alaska is the westernmost part of the North American Continent ... 60 miles from Russia. It has been inhabited by Inuit Eskimos since 600 B.C. and continues to be an Eskimo village today. We will visit Anchorage, Fairbanks and the Capital of Juneau. Alaska is full of surprises, astounding scenery, intimate portraits of wild creatures, and people in cities, villages and isolated outposts.   Grizzly in Alaska
Dale films Finger Mountain   Alaska! It's a location… a destination. It's also an attitude… an escape. The name itself speaks to us of unfettered wilderness… limitless ambition. It has been tamed today in many ways, yet there is still adventure and challenge. "Adventure Alaska" takes us along the byways of the past to find the adventuring spirit that has drawn seekers, sourdoughs, saints and sinners and still lives in the present. All in the surroundings of unsurpassed natural beauty. "Adventure Alaska"… the dream is still alive.   TransAlaska pipeline
